GOOD FOR YOUR GUT GRAINS

Researcher­s from Bond University, the University of Queensland and King’s College in London, have helped improve the image of grains during a study into gut health. They found that wholegrain wheat and rye, along with legumes, onion and garlic, contain dietary fibres that have a beneficial effect on gut bacteria. This may help in the fight against chronic diseases such as type 2 diabetes.
