RIPPED OFF
Why do we pay so much for petrol now?
Margaret Kleemeyer, South Penrith, NSW
I recently got robbed at the petrol station and police asked if I knew who did it. ‘Yes, pump number four,’ I replied. The price of petrol is like cheap underwear – every time you turn around it creeps up a bit more.
I was watching the movie Mad Max, where fuel is so precious that people kill each other for a few litres. It was set in the future – March, I believe. Bring on electric cars. Let’s just hope the batteries are included.
