Pub crawl

It was my husband’s

50th birthday this year and the kids wanted to plan something special. We decided to host a bedroom-to-bedroom pub crawl. The dress code was a fancy shirt up top and trackies down below. It was honestly one of the most memorable birthdays our family has ever celebrated!

In Linda’s ed’s letter in Issue 18, she asked about our favourite books as kids. Of course I have many, but one of my absolute favourites is The Complete Adventures of Peter Rabbit. It not only brought me joy as a sixyear-old, but I grew up loving Beatrix Potter. It inspired me later to visit her house in Cumbria, UK.

My son, Elliot, has to write a diary entry to send to his teacher at the end of each week. I had a sneak

peek at what he wrote this week, it read: ‘I have learned that one day of home school is worse than a whole week of normal school.’
