What do I say or do?

Dear that’s life!

My primary school age daughter has told me that she doesn’t want to play with a certain girl at school any more because this girl is always bossy and makes her unhappy. However, the mother has asked me to step in and ask my girl to be friends again as they think she has been a good influence on their daughter. I feel torn but also think my daughter needs to trust her own instincts.
