Paul Schoproni knew that he wanted to marry Aleasha Pilawa, but she was hesitant.

Having been married twice before, she didn’t know if she wanted to go through it all again.

Plus, she was raising three kids, running two businesses and doing a HR management degree.

Already exhausted, where would she find the energy to plan a wedding? Paul wasn’t deterred. ‘For the last two years he’s proposed to me about 30 times a day,’ Aleasha told Wales Online.

Finally, in 2019, Aleasha, then 36, decided it was time to end the suffering and make an honest man of Paul, 40.

She planned a fake wedding, where Paul would be the ‘best man’ for the vow renewal ceremony of their friends Kevin and Heidi.
