When I arrived home from work, ready to unpack some parcels, my dad came up to me. ‘The strangest thing happened today,’ he said. ‘The postman told me they needed a photo, so I obliged, held up your online shopping boxes and gave my biggest grin.’ I don’t think Dad understood that they just needed to take a photo of the parcel delivered outside the door, not him modelling it.
