Dear that’s life!

I’m engaged to a wonderful man I met at work and fell in love with. We’d love to settle down and have kids. He is just a couple of years older than me, but he was married before and my parents, who are oldfashioned and quite religious, don’t approve of me marrying a divorcee. I’d really like them to be happy for me and I’m sure they’d like my fiancé if they gave him a chance. How do I get them to come around? Or should I put our wedding plans on hold? What do I do?
