A drummer is amusician who plays the drums and usually performs as amember of a band rather than as a solo artist.

Drummers can play a variety of music including folk, rock and pop.

Many drummers work on a part-time or casual basis and few can drum in a full-time position.

Drummers can be self-taught but most take lessons during their school years and develop their skills through experience.

Most successful drummers do not have a tertiary degree.

$118 to $1,000,000 a performance. Casual rates for amateur musicians often are negotiated with the employer.
