Survey to make rural professionals safer
WORKERS in health, education and policing fields in rural and remote areas are urged to be part of a national survey and help reduce workplace violence.
Working Safe in Rural and Remote Australia was developed following a national roundtable held in 2009 on workplace violence, which identified there are common risks faced by rural professionals in the health, education and policing sectors.
Responses to the survey will be used to help develop a national framework to promote safe work practices to reduce the risk of violence.
