THE Federal Government can work to stamp out bullying in workplaces and improve outcomes for victims, says national depression initiative beyondblue.

Parliament’s Standing Committee on Education and Employment report into workplace bullying recommends actions to pave the way for more mentally healthy workplaces in Australia.

Beyondblue chief executive Kate Carnell says the Government and workplaces should consider the report seriously and ask what they can do to reduce workplace bullying.

‘‘ An important factor in developing a mentally healthy workplace is to eliminate any form of bullying,’’ she says.
