Certificate IV tops table
MORE workers complete a Certificate IV qualification than any other vocational education and training course.
National Centre for Vocational Education Research statistics show 38.5 per cent of Certificate IV students finish their qualification, compared with 37.4 per cent of those studying a diploma or higher qualification.
The figures show 37.3 per cent of Certificate III students finish their qualification, although the rate rises to 50.1 per cent for students who are aged 25 years and under and do not hold any other post-school qualification.
The research also finds that 60 per cent of students gain a better job or a higher salary by completing their VET study.
