Leadership most valued
WORKERS need to develop skills that employers will value in 2013 and beyond to capitalise on the opportunities ahead, Randstad’s New Year Outlook reveals.
It suggests workers who want to fast-track their career need to invest time in developing skills seen to have the greatest value into the future by employers.
Employers believe the most critical skills that will ensure their organisations will be competitive in the next five years are leadership skills (as rated by 29 per cent of employers surveyed), creative/innovating skills (16 per cent) and technical skills (15 per cent).
Workers also should be aware that many opportunities may arise at short notice.
