Positive move taken to improve gender equality

The Advertiser - Careers - - Front Page -

GENDER equality is expected to improve in the workplace through a new framework under the Workplace Gender Equality Act.

Workplace Gender Equality director Helen Conway says the reporting framework intends to give employers the tools and information that they need to analyse characteristics of their workplace so they can take steps to improve gender equality.

The Workplace Gender Equality Agency will aggregate the data provided by organisations which report their findings and will create benchmarks for employers that will encourage them to compare and compete with each other to attract and retain staff and improve employee engagement.
