Who’s been seen where and the big-name properties up for grabs
Former state cricketer and Bradman medallist Martin Faull is selling up in search of a big splash.
He and wife Kelli are hoping to find a larger home with a swimming pool in the St Peters area.
Mrs Faull said they had loved living at Westbourne Park but thought it was time to move closer to family.
‘‘It’s a fantastic house, nice neighbours and right next to the park,’’ she said.
The property is listed with Klemich Real Estate’s Steve Alexander with a price guide of $795,000.
Mr Alexander said the freestone-fronted Tudor had been extended and was a nice mix of character and modern features.
SAFM breakfast show host Rabbit has just bought a block of land at Blackwood Park and already has begun building his dream home.
He and son Jordan camped out in their car the night before the land was released to ensure they got the block they wanted. ‘‘ We thought ‘Well, if people are camping out to buy land here it can’t be that bad’,’’ Rabbit said of his choice of location.
He is renting at nearby Aberfoyle Park so that Jordan can begin school.
‘‘We’re going to have a housewarming in the display home,’’ he said.
‘‘We’re so keen to show the house off; we’re not waiting until it’s built.’’
The sure-to-be-stunning home by Marshall Thompson includes four bedrooms and h a s a n a l l - i mport a n t h o me theatre.
❏ If you’re planning to check out the film by local director Scott Hicks, The Boys are Back, make sure to take a good look at the credits.
Klemich Real Estate agent Judy Morris’s name appears in them because she organised a Port Elliot property for Clive Owen and his family to stay in while the film was being shot.
Ms Morris said she had no idea about her credit, but it was a fantastic surprise.
‘‘As I was leaving, I went up to Scott and said ‘Fantastic film’ and he said ‘Well, did you see your credit?’ ’’ she said.
‘‘I answered ‘ What?’ – so he said I would need to watch the film again and have a closer look.’’
Ms Morris said the property Owen rented for about six weeks was one of the most luxurious homes on the South Australian coast.
