an island paradise
DEVELOPERS of the Franklin Island land project at Victor Harbor have their sights on it becoming the region’s prestige residential precinct.
Featuring a seawater lake and beach park for residents, the development is situated between the town centre and picturesque Encounter Bay.
Adelaide Development Company general manager Ian Marker says Victor Harbor continues to shine as one of the state’s most popular beachside towns.
‘‘Location is the key for successful real estate, and this makes Franklin Island especially attractive for buyers,’’ he says.
‘‘We believe this development ultimately will be regarded as one of the state’s premier waterfront addresses.’’
A key selling point is the man-made seawater lake, which is accessible from all homes in the estate.
Residences are being built around the perimeter of the 2.5ha lake, which now incorporates a completed causeway and pedestrian deck, connecting t h e ma i n e n t r a n c e o f Franklin Island (off Bartel Boul e v a r d ) wi t h inner island allotments. Visitor numbers have boomed since the i n f o r ma t i o n centre was opened late last year.
Built by Bailey Homes, the centre incorporates a lavish four-bedroom residence, purpose-built for lakeside living.
‘‘If you’ve ever wanted to live in an exclusive bluewater address, then Franklin Island is the perfect place,’’ Mr Marker says.
The information centre i s open 2.30pm-4.30pm every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday or by appointment.
