Who’s been seen where and the big-name properties up for grabs
IT IS Operation Move for one of the country’s most experienced and honoured sports doctors.
Brian Sando and wife Lee are selling their beautiful Medindie home after almost 15 years.
For those not up with the movers and shakers on the sports-med scene, Dr Sando was a former Olympic and Adelaide Crows doctor, to name but a few of his highprofile clients.
The period family home, at 16 Ettrick Ave, features four bedrooms plus study, formal and informal living and a vine-covered outdoor area that will be ideal for entertaining.
Dr Sando and his wife, who are downsizing, recently bought a home in Kensington Gardens from Klemich Real Estate director Matt Smith, who has listed their current property for sale.
Awa r d - wi n n i n g p h o t o g r a p h e r Bernard Van Elsen is opting for a different direction. He’s upsizing to a new home he bought from Toop & Toop in Wattle Park.
And it’s out with the old; Mr Van Elsen is auctioning his current home at 10am today with a price guide of $1.1 million to $1.2 million. The bungalow is set in a tree-lined street in St Peters, close to schools, transport and the city. It f eatures polished t i mber floorboards, leadlighting and fireplaces to add character. Entertaining, meanwhile, is best enjoyed outside under the veranda. The property is listed with Toop & Toop agents Kay Morris and Charles Clemente.
There are four bedrooms including the master with en suite, built-in wardrobe and leadlight window.
In another snippet of interest, we are told the beautiful St Albans Drive property on the cover of this week’s liftout was owned by former Test cricketer Greg Blewett and his then wife Jodie. Our spies tell us it was built by a winemaker, who then moved on, and the Blewetts moved in.
They eventually sold it to the present owners. The listing agents are Brock Harcourts’ Megan Tamlin and James Harvey.
