to parks, shops and public transport. ‘‘Up the end of the street, there’s a park on a hill which has nice views,’’ Mrs Kenny says.

‘‘There is also one with a rose garden and a tunnel that goes under the Golden Way to the shops so the kids don’t have to cross the road.

‘‘I like the security; I feel secure here. My neighbours are great and with the convenience of bus stops at the end of the road, the Golden Grove Village not very far away and Tea Tree Plaza.

‘‘It’s in the middle of everything and it’s not been hard to get to anything.’’

Latest RP Data shows the median house price in Wynn Vale is $357,000. The suburb has 21 parks, covering nearly 23 per cent of its 4sq km. In 2006, its population was 8407, with the predominant age group being 40 to 49 years.

Daken and Daken Real Estate principal agent Brian Daken says the local schools are a main attraction to the street and suburb.

‘‘I’ve got two people trying to convince themselves to buy because they want their kids in those schools nearby,’’ he says.

‘‘Out of the four suburbs in the Golden Grove developments, Wynn Vale is probably the one with the most prestige.

‘‘Foulis Court is not a big street and it’s got very high-quality homes. Most homes in the street are fetching well over $400,000.’’

Mr Daken says Wynn Vale offers an ideal environment for a family.
