Spacious home fit for a family
Diverse living spaces give a four-bedroom North Adelaide property added appeal, writes Ben Hyde.
ALOVE of the North Adelaide lifestyle attracted the vendors to a newly-built Stanley St home in 2002. ‘‘We’ve lived in and around North Adelaide for the past 28 years,’’ the vendors say. ‘‘We had a brief visit to Medindie but we found that we just had to get back to North Adelaide.
‘‘It’s such a beautiful lifestyle and community and we liked the look of this place when it was built.’’
The property boasts four good-size bedrooms, three of them upstairs, including the master bedroom with a walk-in robe, ensuite with a spa and a balcony.
A downstairs bedroom with an ensuite is ideal for guests or extended family.
The downstairs living areas include a large formal lounge or sitting room at the front of the house with a chandelier and french doors leading to a private patio.
Further to the back of the home is the lightfilled and open-plan kitchen, dining and living areas.
The kitchen features black two-pac cabinets, stainless-steel appliances, black granite benches, mirror splashbacks and plenty of storage space, including a large pantry.
‘‘We’ve just had the kitchen and the family room all done up and it’s come up pretty good,’’ the vendors say.
French doors from the living area lead to a large shade sail-covered entertaining terrace that provides seamless indoor/outdoor living.
The vendors say the diverse living spaces make the property suitable for a family.
‘‘It is a lovely family home because it has the formal lounge, the more casual family area and the bedroom downstairs with ensuite,’’ they say.
‘‘There is plenty of space for family to get away from each other.’’
The vendors say they are only selling because they have been seduced by the beach.
‘‘We often go down to the beach to take the dog and the last two or three years we’ve been flirting about living at the beach and we think we will take the plunge,’’ they say.
‘‘We’ll miss the people and the community life and the buzz of North Adelaide.’’
