Living space for all the family
Close to the city and airport, a Lockleys property is in an ideal location, writes Lachlan Pryor.
BEING close to the city and airport were among the drawcards of a Lockleys home when Peter and Karen Ward moved from Sydney 10 years ago. ‘‘We were looking for something that was a good-sized family home because we had three young children at the time,’’ Karen says.
‘‘The location is fantastic and it’s close to the airport and city and has easy access but at the same time it’s in a quiet location on a lovely street.’’
The four-bedroom home has a recently upgraded kitchen with an island bench, formal lounge and large rumpus room downstairs.
The ground floor master bedroom has walk-in robes and an updated ensuite with a spa while upstairs there are three bedrooms, a three-way bathroom and a teenager’s retreat.
‘‘It’s just a great home for families. One thing we’ve really liked is that as our kids have gone through their teen years, there are so many living areas that everyone can have their own space,’’ Ms Ward says.
‘‘We walk a lot and live near Linear Park. It’s also close to shopping, with Harbour Town. I feel like it’s close to everything.’’
There are three exits from the home to the spacious backyard with its covered entertaining area, easy-care garden and large garden shed.
The house has gas heating, ducted airconditioning and an alarm system.
