Location is hard to beat
Beachside living at its best is in easy reach, writes Katrina Stokes.
SEA views, sunsets and beachside living attracted a couple to buy a block of land overlooking Moana Beach about six years ago. ‘‘The location was really number one for us,’’ one of the vendors says.
‘‘The views are something that you would pay $1 million for – you’ll never get them anywhere else.
‘‘We bought the block and built from scratch . . . we liked the area, it was quiet and very open.’’
The three-bedroom modern house was designed by the vendors in conjunction with Stirling Homes.
‘‘It is very unique in style,’’ the vendor says.
‘‘We’ve got a split-level home with 3.6m (12ft) ceilings, which gives a feeling of open space.’’
Also in the brief, the vendors say they wanted to give a feeling of ‘‘luxury’’ to the home.
‘‘The house has his and hers walkin robes and an extremely large ensuite with a built-in corner spa,’’ the vendor says.
The house features two open-plan living areas and a separate dining area.
A well-equipped kitchen includes Smeg stainless-steel appliances and a walk-in pantry.

The vendors say they will miss the property’s unique location.
Some of Adelaide’s ‘‘best beaches’’ – including Moana and Port Noarlunga – are just a short drive away.
‘‘Moana beach is a very clean, very tidy beach . . . the water is crystal clear. I think it’s one of the best beaches in Adelaide,’’ the vendor says.
The vendors also took advantage of the nearby Mclaren Vale wine region.
‘‘We went there almost every weekend,’’ the vendor says.
‘‘We would usually go down and have a coffee or get some cheese from Blessed Cheese. It’s less than 10 minutes away.’’
