Home designed for total privacy
Brooklyn Park home designed for privacy, writes Tom Dougherty.
ASINGLE-STOREY home at Brooklyn Park is in an ideal location and designed from the outset to be private, vendor Ann Zaccone says.
‘‘Privacy was a big thing, I wanted total privacy from the street,’’ she says.
‘‘I wanted the nice, small backyard so it is workable, and an alfresco area, and it was to be low-maintenance.’’
The home has four bedrooms, with the master at the front of the home and featuring a walkin robe and an ensuite with a shower.
‘‘It is a really good room, and it faces the north so the sun comes in, I like having sun in the bathroom and that is another feature I insisted on,’’ she says.
All of the other bedrooms have built-in robes, and they are serviced by a bathroom, which has a bath and a shower.
At the back of the home is an open-plan kitchen, dining and loungeroom with a tiled floor.
The kitchen has a breakfast bar, stainless steel appliances, and CaesarStone benches.
‘‘It is a huge kitchen, it is beautiful to entertain in,’’ Ms Zaccone says.
‘‘I usually have people sitting around the bench while I’m cooking, it works really well.’’
Sliding glass doors in the dining room open to a covered alfresco area at the back, which looks on to a lawn.
‘‘It is great for entertaining, I actually had my mother’s 70th birthday, we even had 90 people in there,’’ she says.
The home also has a laundry with external access, and a builtin linen cupboard next to it.
‘‘It is very easy to maintain, and it is very convenient,’’ she says.
‘‘There are two main roads nearby, it is very easy for me to catch a bus to the city.
‘‘It would suit many different people, whether you have kids or want an extra room to work from home, there is a sliding door in the garage so you can access it through the side.’’
The double garage also has an automatic panel-lift door and internal access.
