Relax, enjoy coastal views
CRAIGMORE has great views and is very popular with families, Tom Giordimaina says. ‘‘I’ve enjoyed it, it is a convenient area where everything is around the corner, and the neighbours have been good too,’’ he says.
‘‘There’s a lot of young families around, there are always kids around, it is quite good for that.’’
Mr Giordimaina, who is selling his single-storey modern family home, says the property would be ideal for a family.
‘‘I liked the spot that it is in where you have the views,’’ he says.
‘‘We wanted to build something low maintenance, somewhere you can relax and enjoy the views.
‘‘It would be good for a young family, or someone that doesn’t want to do anything, it would suit a variety.’’
He says there a lot of amenities nearby that means you don’t have to venture far from the area to get everything you need.
‘‘You have Munno Para Shopping Centre down the road and the new Blakeview shops,’’ he says.
‘‘There is a lot down the road, Bunnings, everything you need, so it’s a good location.’’
Information from RP Data and the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows that Craigmore measures 5sq km and has 39 parks, covering nearly 5 per cent of its area.
The median sale price for houses in April was $269,000, which is more than the $255,000 for the Playford council area.
The median price for units is $186,000, which is more than the $146,500 for the council area.
Ray White Glynde sales consultant Robert Milligan, who is selling Mr Giordimania’s property, says Craigmore has a great community feel to it.
‘‘It is a thriving area and Blakes Crossing is nice and close,’’ he says.
‘‘It is an up and coming area, where this house is it’s relatively prime.’’
An attraction to the area for many is the views, Mr Milligan says.
‘‘Because it is the foothills, from the back of the house you have great views to the ocean and the coastline,’’ he says.
‘‘It is quite exclusive because on the high side of Craigmore there are better quality homes.
‘‘Most of the homes there are new and affordable.’’
