am only 25-yearsold and my hair is receding and I have a bald patch. Do I hold on to what little hair I do have or should I shave it off? N.L., College Park A I really hope you are not female. In which case I’d suggest you seek medical advice. But maybe you should do that in any case. I think there are tablets for this sort of thing. The fact that you are headed the way of the snooker ball sounds fairly inevitable. It’s written in your genes. Sure, you can investigate spray on hair, Advanced Hair, Rogaine, a combover, a combunder or a dirty great toupee (can you imagine?). But there’s probably not much you can do to stop this fact of life, the inevitable, cruel march of time. So as Chopper Read would say: drink a cup of cement and harden up, sunshine. Go for the buzz cut and embrace the style. If you’re otherwise fit and awesome, people won’t really notice. There’s nothing so ick as a 25-year-old with a grandfather slick.
