LETTER OF THE WEEK
Regarding the Kelly Vincent story (Kelly’s heroes 25/9/10). My son Thomas was born on the brink of death. The diagnosis was devastating: cerebral palsy, spastic quadriplegia, brain damage, epilepsy and renal failure. Yet he was so beautiful. After months of intensive care and painful treatments, he was finally discharged. “Goodbye, good luck”. That was it? Oh my God, where to from here? There is no doubt that disability services in South Australia are in crisis. The lack of provision of services and lack of transparency is an outrage.
