The Advertiser - SA Weekend - - ESCAPE -

you’re longing for a night in the countryside, but need to stay in the city, the cosy Chapel Cottage, in North Adelaide, will fit the bill just nicely.

From the outside, the two-bedroom sandstone cottage, built in 1879 and complete with a white picket fence, looks like it belongs in the serene setting of a Victorian period movie, nestled among hills and lush greenery.

My initial impression is confirmed after walking through the front door, where a long hallway and intricate furnishings hark back to days gone by.

The claw-foot bath in the bathroom is a luxurious touch, as are the opulent bedside lamps that make you feel like you’re staying somewhere far
