The Advertiser - SA Weekend - - UP FRONT -

“Make me toast”, “Take me to the shops to buy a Nerf Zombie Strike air gun”. Went tobogganing in the Alps, then spent the day badgering their parents about why they couldn’t go skiing – they sound like spoiled brats! (Susie O’Brien, July 12-13)

I’m Gen-X and it sounds like the same “summer holidays” you’d get in UK, where some kids (the posh ones) went to Greece or Italy and some kids were lucky to get Blackpool or Wales. If you complained, you were told how lucky you were, and if you said “I'm bored”, then there was always the reply “I can find you some work to do!” Mike via SA Weekend online
