Youth gang ran­sacks Myer mall

A GROUP of four teenagers aged as young as 12 has staged an au­da­cious break-in of the Myer Cen­tre in Run­dle Mall, steal­ing clothes and cash be­fore flee­ing on scoot­ers and bikes.

Se­cu­rity of­fi­cers found a side door of the shop­ping mall had been jem­mied open just be­fore 2.30am yes­ter­day.

Po­lice found cashier tills at sev­eral food out­lets and other stores had been fleeced, with cashier tills and clothes stolen.

CCTV footage re­vealed four sus­pects on scoot­ers and a bi­cy­cle en­tered the cen­tre, be­fore they fled wear­ing stolen clothes from one of the stores.

The sus­pects were de­scribed as be­ing of Abo­rig­i­nal ap­pear­ance, aged be­tween 12 and 15. They were last seen wear­ing bright yel­low, or­ange and red Cham­pion hooded jumpers and base­ball caps.
