Six times limit with child in car

A DIS­QUAL­I­FIED driver has blown six times the legal blood al­co­hol limit with a child in the car.

About 3.15pm on Satur­day, a woman recorded a read­ing of 0.302 on St An­drews Tce in Port Lin­coln.

She was re­ported for drink driv­ing, driv­ing while un­li­censed and disor­derly be­hav­iour, and will ap­pear in the Port Lin­coln Mag­is­trates Court at a later date.

The 43-year-old was also is­sued with an ad­di­tional 12 month loss of li­cence and had her car im­pounded for 28 days.

Po­lice plan to no­tify the De­part­ment for Child Pro­tec­tion.

In an­other in­ci­dent, two men were ar­rested af­ter al­legedly try­ing to hide from po­lice fol­low­ing a brief pur­suit in the north­ern sub­urbs.

A Sal­is­bury Plain man, 24, and a Greenacres man, 18, were charged with il­le­gal use.
