Reopen slowly

The Advertiser - - LETTERS -

IN the last few days, a number of letters have been published advocating immediately opening business in the manner it was before COVID-19.

The authors seem to be following President Donald Trump’s ideology of the “cure being worse than the disease”.

Through both good management, and surely some good luck, we in SA have seen little of the disaster that many other parts of the world are suffering.

To advocate abandoning this and returning to our old ways, without at least a vaccine being available, seems extremely foolhardy and downright dangerous.
