Shares gain lost ground
THE Australian share market rebounded from early losses of almost 1per cent to close higher for a fourth straight day yesterday.
It marked the local bourse’s longest winning streak since February. The S&P/ASX200 benchmark index finished the ay up 13.5 points or 0.24 per cent, at 5573 points. The All Ordinaries index gained 21.3 points, or 0.38 per cent, to 5680.1.
Australian shares took a hit early after doubts were raised about the early trials of a US vaccine, which had spurred a rally on the sharemarket on Tuesday.
