$20 million funding boost

-

THE Northern Territory Labor Government has delivered the first stage of its four year, $124 million investment to 151 government schools across the Territory.

Education minister Eva Lawler said that schools can choose how to allocate the funds to best meet the needs of their students.

“This might be in the form of extra teachers, support staff or additional school resources to deliver high quality teaching and learning programs,” Ms Lawler said.

An additional $20 million was allocated to schools through an adjusted student needs-based formula following feedback from education stakeholders and analysis of school budgets.
