Fire Education Program for Primary Schools

THE Tasmania Fire Service aims to reach more than 95 per cent of primary school children with its 2017 School Fire Education Program.

Almost 20,000 students from more than 90 schools across the State will be taught basic home fire safety including the importance of smoke alarms, recognisin­g exits, and having a safe meeting point.

The School Fire Education Program is an initiative developed by the Tasmania Fire Service towards their vision of Tasmanian community that is safe from the impact of fire.
