Epilog laser engraver and cutting machine for education
ALFEX CNC Australia has been supplying the latest equipment and technologies from the world’s leading CNC Machinery manufacturers for more than 30 years.
The Epilog Laser is the most technically advanced laser engraving system currently available.
Laser engraving and cutting systems are rapidly making their way into educational institutions around the country and are used in model making, textile design, furniture construction and industrial design.
Alfex CNC’S Epilog lasers are creating excitement among educators for their ability to engrave and/or cut a wide variety of materials including wood, acrylic, plastic, fabric, glass, paper, card, treated metals and more.
Laser engraving systems are having a positive impact on both the schools incorporating them and the students who enjoy working with them.
C02 lasers work much like a printer but with a laser beam instead of ink.
Users can simply import their artwork, input the correct speed and power settings for their selected material and “print” their job to the laser.
The Epilog Laser Cutter could be integrated into subject areas such as Design Technology, Graphics, Manufacturing, Digital Technology, Home Economics, Business, Science and Engineering.
“We have been using the Epilog engraver since 2009 and it has completely transformed student outcomes here at St Pauls. We use it through all our year levels from YR3-YR12 in some form,” St Pauls Andrew Wilson said.
“The biggest advantage we have found through having a machine like this is that the students are able to design more complexity within their designs and the quality of outcomes has been far higher. If there was one machine that has transformed DT at St Pauls it is this one and I couldn’t recommend the Epilog higher as far as support and use.”
Alfex CNC provides installation and training as well as offering unlimited post-sales support for the life of the machine.
