The preferred choice for schools

-

TROTEC Laser Australia is proud to now have more than 200 customers in the education sector, thanks to Trotec’s EDU solutions.

Trotec released the 300 EDU just four years ago as a specific solution for the education sector.

With a suitable bed size, industry standard laser power, low maintenance, step-by-step software, high throughput capabilities, high safety standards, and a local subsidy, the 300 EDU quickly became a preferred choice for schools.

It has also become a great tool for Trotec to gather feedback from the sector, such as how the company’s products are used and how it can constantly set new standards.

Between schools, TAFE, universities, fab labs and libraries, Trotec has enjoyed unprecedented growth in education clients as it strives to create a seamless learning experience for any laser user or maker.

Trotec Managing Director Reece Moore said the company’s aim in this sector was to help grow awareness about what was truly possible with lasers, as for many years their full potential was not realised.

“It is also fantastic to see government support of STEM & STEAM projects, which also assists the growth of maker spaces and fab labs,” Mr Moore said.

“For some time now technology has taken away from making and hands-on processes.

“We see lasers as an opportunity to bridge this gap and get not only students, but families, the public, and companies back into creating.”

Trotec’s education customers use their machines in the fields of model making, mechatronics, sign writing, home economics and hospitality, design, woodworking, fashion, entrepreneur programs, and more.

“Trotec has also recently installed Flexx lasers (or dual source lasers) into schools and universities, which is a very promising sign that our customers are making the most of their time with lasers and pushing boundaries of product design and finishing,” he said.

“Watch this space for a new product offering great for educators!”

Since it was formed in 1997, European company Trotec has become a world leader in the field of laser technology, with more than 450 employees serving customers in more than 90 countries.
