Cost-effective cooling

The Australian Education Reporter - - BUILDING LEARNING THROUGH DESIGN -

COOLING and heating can be a costly exercise for institutions such as schools, where large open spaces are often frequented by students and teachers.

But with the right product and installation, cost-effective and efficient cooling can be achieved for large spaces; from school halls, libraries, gymnasiums, and basketball courts to auditoriums and school theatres.

As the exclusive national distributor of Big Ass Fans and LEDS Lights for educational facilities, Airaway fans are a high volume, low speed solution for areas too big or too expensive to air condition.

They have a cooling effect of between five and 10 degrees with air movement across the skin and cost less than 20 cents per hour to run.

Airaway will also assist with warming a hall where heating is available, and the Powerfoil fans come with a 15-year warranty.

Backed by a seven year warranty, the Big Ass LED High Bay lighting has a heavy-duty anodized body with 17 years average running before brightness is lost.

“We have installed fans in hundreds of schools across the country,” Airaway general manager Kevin Kenny said.

“For local installation and a no obligation free measure and quote please contact us on 02 9680 1733.”
