AIMING to challenge the way science is taught in the classroom, Street Science is a hands-on, student centred learning approach that teaches the Australian Science curriculum in a fun, energetic and inspiring way.

Steven Liddell developed the Street Science incursion program after seeing a significant drop in the number of students doing senior sciences during his 8 years in the classroom.

Since 2012, Street Science has impacted over 500,000 people, with the team well known as science teachers and communicators who are making a difference to education in Australia.

Based in Brisbane, Street Science regularly services major cities and regional districts around Queensland, with scheduled tours into NSW and South Australia.

The team present and engage with communities and schools in Australia’s largest science festivals, including World Science Festival, Sydney Science Festival, and Science Alive!

Street Science also collaborates with QUT, Queensland Museum, The Australian Museum, Griffith University, and Australian Catholic University to assist in the delivery of their programs.

2018 also sees Street Science present internationally at the World Science Festival in New York.
