Oil and gas jobs on rise

AUSTRALIAN oil and gas jobs are showing signs of improvement with increased demand for workers expected this quarter, according to the latest Hays Quarterly Report.

Hays stated employment conditions were becoming much more positive, particularly in Victoria, with a number of job vacancies opening up in the State for fitters and boilermakers, mechanical fitters, gas and pipeline workers, and experienced project managers.

Other hotspots included WA, with increased vacancy activity for process and reliability engineers, and South Australia with increased demand for tender and quality engineers.
