BGC se­cures new Pil­bara deals

BGC Con­tract­ing is ramp­ing up ac­tiv­ity in the WA Pil­bara af­ter en­ter­ing a se­ries of con­tracts with BHP and NPJV.

In early De­cem­ber, BGC an­nounced it se­cured two con­tracts with BHP that will see it com­plete an ex­pan­sion of main­te­nance fa­cil­i­ties at Jim­ble­bar to sup­port in­creased fleet ca­pac­ity, and a ma­jor re­fur­bish­ment of BHP’s Coon­de­wanna air­port ser­vic­ing Min­ing Area C.

The con­trac­tor also en­tered a sep­a­rate deal with NPJV, an un-in­cor­po­rated JV be­tween Nja­mal Ser­vices and Pil­bara Re­source Group that pro­vides op­por­tu­ni­ties for the Nja­mal peo­ple.

The NPJV deal will see the ven­ture pro­vide mo­bile plant and dump truck op­er­a­tors for BGC con­tract work at At­las Iron’s Mt Web­ber Project.
