Curtin opens in­no­va­tion hub

CURTIN Uni­ver­sity has launched a new-look in­no­va­tion cen­tre in Perth fo­cus­ing on col­lab­o­ra­tive re­search projects, busi­ness so­lu­tions and knowl­edge shar­ing.

The In­no­va­tion Cen­tral Perth (ICP) builds on the work of the for­mer Cisco In­ter­net of Ev­ery­thing In­no­va­tion Cen­tre, with re­newed sup­port of Cisco, Curtin Uni­ver­sity and Wood­side, and a new part­ner­ship with CSIRO’s Data61.

“In­no­va­tion Cen­tral and the part­ners in­volved of­fer the ca­pa­bil­ity to work with a range of sec­tors to help them adapt to dig­i­tal dis­rup­tion,” Data61 busi­ness de­vel­op­ment man­ager Chris Nel­son said.

“We also of­fer world-class re­search and de­vel­op­ment in cy­ber­se­cu­rity, ro­bot­ics, com­puter vi­sion, de­ci­sion sup­port.”
