Aus­tralian Mines en­ters re­search part­ner­ship

ASX-listed Aus­tralian Mines has launched its se­cond ma­jor scan­dium re­search part­ner­ship, with the Am­rita Cen­tre for Re­search and De­vel­op­ment in In­dia.

Un­der the part­ner­ship, Aus­tralian Mines will col­lab­o­rate with the Cen­tre of Ex­cel­lence in Ad­vanced Ma­te­ri­als and Green Tech­nolo­gies, which was as­sess­ing the po­ten­tial of high ca­pac­ity scan­dium-mag­ne­sium ternary al­loys for next gen­er­a­tion nickel metal hy­dride bat­ter­ies and hy­dro­gen stor­age ap­pli­ca­tions.

The re­search fol­lowed a part­ner­ship en­tered with UK-based Me­tal­y­sis ear­lier this year.
