The 2019 AIMEX exhibition and conference will focus on the core of mining innovation.
ANTICIPATION is high for the forthcoming Asia-Pacific International Mining Exhibition ( AIMEX), which will feature the most comprehensive free-to-attend conference for the mining sector when it returns to Sydney Olympic Park from August 27-29.
Alongside the conference will be a massive supplier showcase comprising more than 500 companies from around the world.
The event will attract more than 6000 industry personnel, along with an additional 2000 exhibitor personnel over the three days.
Displayers include Alfagomma, Cummins, Hitachi, ESS Engineering Services, Dana Brevini, Trinkor/Hilliard, Svendborg Brakes, Fuchs and Austdac, to name a few.
The AIMEX conference, sponsored by Davey Bickford Enaex, has been developed with direct input and consultation from key mining personnel and industry associations, as well as key mining companies.
The 2019 conference will examine three key themes: the future sector will be analysed under the theme “Seizing opportunities through new approaches and innovation”; the future workforce will be linked with “Attracting, developing and retaining talent”; while “Low carbon economy” will direct debate on future governance.
The conference program will provide the mining industry with the platform to connect, engage and challenge the current mindset.
AIMEX exhibition director Brandon Ward said no other mining event in Australasia provided access to this volume of suppliers and this calibre of speakers for free.

Headlining each day of the agenda at the conference will be three in-depth panel discussions that will tackle the relevant themes with robust discussion.
On Tuesday, August 27, the panel will focus on “Image of the industry – How can the mining sector and the community work more collaboratively together in the future?”
This session, starting at 11:15am, will explore ways in which mining companies can engage more collaboratively with communities to build trust and reputation to transform the regions in which they operate.
The following day, the panel will address “Tomorrow’s workforce – Enabling and cultivating our future miners”.
Starting at 10:55am, this panel will examine how the industry can reinvent its approach to talent acquisition and retention for today’s agile, analytical and technologically driven age.
They will look at current day skill shortages and workforce demands that will develop in the workforce of the future.
On the final day of the conference, August 29, the featured panel will tackle “How the industry adapts to climate change and emissions and what this will look like for the mining sector”.
Attendees will hear directly from mining companies on how they are approaching this topic and what measures they are taking to reduce their own footprint.
