The ROSTA Australia technical team, based in Perth, Sydney and Melbourne, collectively have more than 80 years of hands on experience between them, and have developed many of the current ROSTA solutions that continue to aid in safe, productive and cost-efficient applications for both the heavy mining and quarry industries.
ROSTA’s technology
ROSTA’S MB motorbases are used extensively to maintain constant belt tension for V Belt drives, on jaw and cone crushers, feeders, screens, fan and slurry pump drives.
The range caters for electric motors from 0.75kW to more than 550kW in size.
ROSTA’s superior lift motorbases (MBSL) are used in overhead drive applications, and are especially suited to pump drives.
The ROSTA MBSL motorbases replace the often-used and cumbersome open thread booker rod and bolt system.
The MBSL superior lift motorbases make belt changes safer, quicker and easier, and the drive alignment is maintained throughout the motor movement and belt change process.
ROSTA MB motorbases provide a noticeable improvement to energy efficiency, pulley and V belt life, as belt tension is maintained within the correct range for a longer period when compared to a fixed system.
ROSTA oscillating mountings type AB are used for screen and feeder suspension for fixed, modular and mobile plant across the mining and quarrying industries.
ROSTA AB mounts have proven to be reliable and long lasting, even in the most hostile environments which has endeared them to end users and OEMs alike.
ROSTA anti-vibration mounts are used for isolation of vibration and impact loads.
ROSTA ESL units are especially effective at absorbing high impact loads on conveyor transfer points and the ROSTA ESL anti-vibration mount is extensively used as part of dynamic conveyer impact systems.
Recent product innovation from the ROSTA Australia team includes a system for tensioning larger V-Belt drives for both jaw and cone crushers, where the sheer size makes repositioning electric motors to properly tension the drive system a challenge for site maintenance personnel and a costly, time-consuming task.
The ROSTA large belt tensioner allows for the motor position (and alignment) to remain fixed, whilst providing quick, simple and safe belt change and re-tensioning of the belts, saving cost in crusher down time.
Finally, ROSTA SE tensioners are perhaps the most globally recognised of the company’s product ranges, synonymous with the ROSTA name and continuing to be the high-performance solution of choice for automatic tensioning of belt and chain drive systems.
