Crane connection across world
THE Baden Davis Crane Connection has a strong pedigree in the crane industry.
It reaches way back to when Ben Baden’s father Gerhard taught his son and Anthony Davis everything there was to know about the crane business, and how to run a successful sales, service and repair facility.
Since forming the company in 2010, Ben and Anthony have continued to build on the knowledge and skills they have both learnt after a lifetime spent in the industry.
Malcom Smith from Tutt Bryant is one of the many satisfied customers of the Baden Davis Crane Connection, from whom he recently bought a Link-Belt TCC 1400, 127t telescopic crawler crane.
“The level of service has always been second to none,” Mr Smith said.
“I’ve been working with them in the industry for about 22 years.
“I’ve had a long term relationship with both Anthony and Ben – I’ve been buying cranes from them way before they were Baden Davis.”
Mr Davis created a relationship with American company Link Belt Cranes, and as the Link-Belt agent out of Australia, Baden Davis has been able to deliver quality cranes from the US to Australian soil.
“From our perspective, they’ve had a lot of experience across a lot of cranes and they import a lot of second-hand gear, and have the know-how to bring them back up to Australian standards, maintain them, and then on-sell them to potential customers,” Mr Smith said.
“There’s a lot of experience and a lot of talent there within Anthony and Ben, and also with the people around them in the workshop – their people have been very well trained and have been in the industry a very long time.
“I can’t say enough about them to be honest.”
Mr Smith said that the Baden Davis Crane Connection has also been instrumental in many other aspects of his business, whether it was sourcing second-hand cranes from overseas, supplying parts for his existing fleet, or for making the four other crawler cranes imported from Tutt Bryant’s Asian sister companies compliant with Australian standards.
