Superior surface protection

-

ESTABLISHED in 1999, Rubbertex has consistently delivered superior surface protection solutions for steel structures to clients across mining and heavy industry sectors, throughout Australia and for remote overseas operations.

Rubbertex director Stephen Cotton said the company’s key personnel had more than 70 years of combined knowledge and experience in providing protective coating solutions for chemical, corrosion, abrasion and impact issues and concerns.

“Rubbertex has the ability to provide customised service with extensive problem-solving capabilities, rapid response and vast experience with protective coating solutions including rubber lining, ceramic tiling, sand blasting and painting services,” Mr Cotton said.

“We are the acknowledged foremost authority in South Australia with the use of rubber for abrasion, impact and corrosion resistance.”

Rubbertex has ongoing shutdown and site operations for SIMEC Mining and Oz Minerals, and prides itself on the dedicated team of rubber lining technicians who are available on a 24/7 call out and who are experienced with the British Standard BS 6374: Part 5 and BHP Billiton’s S0036 Rubber Lining Standard.

“Our technicians are site-compliant in confined space, working at heights, handling hazardous substances, first aid and fire safety,” Mr Cotton said.

“We have the flexibility to offer our clients the choice to either contract our rubber lining technicians for their entire shutdown or to manage and conduct site inspections as needed.”

The head office is located in Largs North, consisting of a 1200sqm undercover workshop (which also houses blast and painting facilities) along with a forward point of operations at Whyalla and Prominent Hill in South Australia, so Rubbertex is well placed to provide a cost effective and timely service.

World-class products

Rubbertex uses the best rubber products, and with access to research and development facilities that provide the latest technologies and strategies for protection against abrasion using rubber, clients stand to benefit from a steady stream of new and improved products.

“Rubbertex supplies and distributes premium natural rubbers, ceramic tiles, mining hose and epoxy coating kits all of which possess unique characteristics of strength, resilience and abrasion resistance,” Mr Cotton said.

“We offer sheet rubber in various thicknesses and for various applications including tank and vessel lining, process equipment, hydro cyclones, mining hose, pinch valves, lina pumps, rubber sleeves and polyurethane lining.

“We have the personnel and network of resources to respond to the changing demands in the industry so that cost and time loss can be minimised through efficient maintenance of plant and equipment.”

Rubbertex has a large array of products available online, making it a one-stop shop to save clients both time and money.
