Brush ham well with the glaze. Place ham on a rack in a large roast­ing pan, then add 1½ cups wa­ter. Cover the shank end with foil. Bake for 1 hour 20 min­utes or un­til browned all over, brush­ing oc­ca­sion­ally with the glaze dur­ing cook­ing.
