ENDOMETRIOSIS ALERT

A new study has found that women with endometriosis, a painful condition that a ects the reproductive organs, have a higher risk of heart disease. Researchers from Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston studied 120,000 women over 20 years. Almost 12,000 participants su ered from endometriosis. They found that those women aged 40 or younger were three times as likely to su er a heart attack, chest pain, or need treatment for blocked arteries, compared to women without the condition.
