CHOCOLATE AND PEAR SELF-SAUCING PUDDING

Serves 6 Prep 15 Minutes Cook 40 Minutes Preheat the oven to 190°C (170°C fan-forced). Lightly grease a 6-cup casserole dish. Drain a 825g can of pear halves and pat dry with paper towel. Cut into wedges. Arrange over base of dish. Mix pudding mix from a 260g packet Greens Chocolate Self-Saucing Pudding in a mixing bowl with 1 egg, 2 tablespoon­s soft butter or margarine and 2 tablespoon­s water. Beat on low speed with an electric mixer until well combined. Beat for a further 2 minutes. Pour mixture over pear in dish, smoothing surface with a spatula. Sprinkle contents of sauce sachet over the batter. Carefully pour 1½ cups boiling water over, making sure all sauce is dissolved. Bake for 35-40 minutes until sponge springs back when touched lightly in the centre. Serve warm with ice-cream or custard.
