While researchin­g this debilitati­ng condition, Georgia was shocked to discover the number of people who suffer from chronic pain and how much it impacts on their lives – not to mention the $35 billion it costs our economy every year. “I have been drawn to tackle the silent epidemic of suffering in Australia,” she says. The scholarshi­p would allow Georgia to continue her work with world leaders into chronic pain research and treatment so she can continue to improve lives and influence healthcare.
