Letter of the month

My mother Mollie Woods and her identical twin, Trudy Hammond (100 last July, Mollie’s on the left) both used to work as fashion illustrators for Home Budget in the early 1940s, before it was taken over by The Australian Women’s Weekly.

So they were thrilled to find Treasures From The Archives on a newsagent shelf. It brought back many memories and Trudy even knew one of the illustrators featured in your magazine, whose designs, she said, could still be worn with style today. They loved looking through this.
