Reporting from the war zone

The Weekly’s own war correspondent reported from a number of battle fronts during her 38-year career. Dorothy Drain visited Japan in 1946 and in 1950 was off to the Korean war (above). Her third sortie was in 1965 in Vietnam (left). Patti Newton and Denise Drysdale flew to Saigon in 1967 to entertain the Aussie troops (below).
